The Communications Office are committed to delivering a quality public relations, event management and marketing service for credit unions, and provides a service to the national and local media who require information on credit unions collectively or individually.

Our role in the Communications Office is twofold.

* Developing and Nurturing a positive working relationship between credit unions and the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) through a combination of public relations, marketing and event management services. It is our responsibility to make sure that credit unions are updated on a regular basis on developments within the ILCU and any relevant external stakeholders. In addition we will endeavour to provide up to date information on additional activities which may be of interest to credit unions generally.

* To provide appropriate communication tools, methods and practices from credit unions to their existing members and to the general public. This is achieved through a series of media activities such as advertising, public relations, press initiatives, public competitions and promotional material for credit unions. There is a new emphasis on pro-active publicity at national and local level which we are endeavouring implement on a month by month basis at national and local level.
